22 Months

As soon as it was time to take 22 month pictures, Kathryn saw my camera, said "PICK-TERS", grabbed her bear, and sat up on her chair. In a nutshell, I think that describes how much she's growing up, comprehending, and impressing us daily.

Insider-behind-the-scenes info: After a busy weekend along with K coming down with a nasty cold, she took a bath and I threw on this cute little sweater minus an undershirt since she was just going to change into her pj's after her photo shoot, which explains why she's being a little scandalous!

This has been the month of two-word phrases. "Go home", "Go away", "Bad turkey". All words that she has picked up from E. J. when he chases the wild turkey's out of our yard. She even says she needs a "stick" (just like dad) to chase around the turkey's...which she does! Country life, much?

The darn bottle addition has still not been broken. We had a rough few weeks of her not eating much due to some serious teething, causing us to relapse a bit, although we are back to only one bottle of milk at night.

She's fully capable of using her little potty (just #1 for right now). She'll tell us off and on when she needs to go (surprisingly before and/or after a bath - she knows that would be "yucky" to go while in the bath). Mommy and daddy's wallet would appreciate full-on potty training sooner than later, but we're so happy with the progression she has made.

She's working on counting, which goes something like: "twooooo, peeee, fur".
Kathryn is nearing on size 6 diapers, wears a size 3T clothes, and 5-6 shoes.

Her favorite foods are: Pizza, pasta, chicken, broccoli, and chocolate. Yes, chocolate. She asks for it at night and if she's lucky she'll get a single Hershey's Kiss.

In fact, last night she walked into our room at 1:30 a.m. I woke up (barely) as I heard little foot steps coming toward our room. Our conversation went like this:

Me: What are you doing up, Kathryn?
K: EAT!
Me: What do you want to eat?
K: Dinner
Me: We already had dinner. Do you want to eat again?
K: Pizza
Me: You can't have pizza in the middle of the night
K: Pasta

Seriously, I can't even believe that we're now having conversations. Where has the time gone?
