Hello 2011!

Happy New Year! We started out the new year with a hearty breakfast. Eggs (egg whites for me), bacon (extra crispy for me), and ebelskivers! YUMMY! (Ebelskivers are a traditional Danish pancake that's typically stuffed with some sort of goodness. I put blueberries in them today but you can put almost anything from chocolate chips, Nutella, brown sugar, etc.)
Now that I'm done with grad school, I have a new found freedom! I was seriously burnt-out from the combination of school and working full-time along with my newest role as a mommy :).

I could not be more excited to have school out of the equation and ready to do a bunch of things in place of homework.

Rather than listing a bunch of new year's resolutions just because of a new year on the calendar, I have a list of things I'm looking forward to in the new year now that I'm not in school (I'm sure by now that you've got the point that I'm soooo happy to not be in school anymore!!)

Some things I'm looking forward to:

* Spending more time with the hubs and our sweet little girl :).
* More blogging! I can't promise daily posts, but I definitely want to post more frequently. I've become a blog junky and want to get more into the blogging world. I love it and have a new found hobby because of it.
* Housework. Yup, you read correctly...housework! As long as it isn't homework, it sounds good to me. I have some major organizational projects I want to get done around the house and it's time to start now.
* Not being a student. I took one full semester off between my bachelor's degree and my master's and now I'm ready to let my brain rest.
* Reading books that I choose and catching up on my magazine reading.
* Writing for fun.
* Working on my domestic goddess skills as I continue to explore my love for cooking andbaking.
* More movie watching.

I hope the new year is a great one for you and your family!

I will leave you with a picture taken earlier this week.
Beets gone bad (although she had a blast!) and although it doesn't look like it, she loved them!
