Happy 4 months, my little cowgirl!

This has been such a busy weekend! Friday night, while E.J. was doing some off-duty work, Kathryn and I went to my graduate advisors beginning-of-semester-potluck dinner that she hosts each year. It was fun to meet the new students in my graduate program and introduce my advisor to Kathryn :).

Saturday was Kathryn's 4 month birthday!

And then she went for her bear...

If you can't tell, anything that she can get her hands on, she loves to put in her mouth.

Saturday night, E.J.'s parents were having a bbq get-together next to their roping arena, so everyone who had horses, brought their horses. It was a big night for Bug because she got to go on her first horse and she ended up having a blast, she was all smiles even though I never actually caught a smile on my phone while snapping pictures.

I just love that face.
E.J.'s step-dad's sister, Sondra, took Kathryn for a little ride around the arena.

Can you tell we live in Texas?

Sunday was mostly lazy. The 3 of us took a 3 hour nap (wow!), which was fantastic, although it resulted in me getting practically nothing done today and I feel asleep holding Kathryn sitting up in bed which allowed me to wake up to some impressive back pain.

For dinner we met up with our good friends who were in town: Margie, Paul, Holly, and Jason. It was a lot of fun to see then but now I'm pooped, full, and so ready for bed (yes, even though I took a 3 hour nap today).

All in all, it was a fun and busy weekend! Hope you had a great weekend as well!
